t68_ak_with_folding_buttstock_and_samurai_scope.jpgIt feels good being bad with the NEW T68 AK47 paintball rifle!  The AK-47 was originally developed in 1944 by Mikhail Kalashnikov for the Soviet Union. It is a 7.62 mm durable assault rifle and thanks to its low manufacturing costs, the AK-47 is still widely used around the globe.  f you want to get that classic AK-47 feeling in your hands, you should defiantly try the new Gen6 AK47 which is designed for scenario paintball and military training. As the “opposing force” marker, the T68 AK47 enhances military combat training, scenario realism and is also great if you want to play a bad guy for the weekend.

The T68 AK47 features all-metal construction with internal Flexi Air System. Each unit incorporates a fully functional magazine-feed system with 18 round detachable magazine. An optional 200 round hopper adaptor is available for those who need more ammo capacity.  Just like the real deal - the T68 AK47 Paintball Gun features an inherent reliability and durability by virtue of being made completely of metal. To replicate the original classic, the aesthetics are dead-on and the pistol grip and handguard are made of wood - the T68 AK47 is made to take a beating!

m4_gear.jpgWhat do you think about the direction that paintball is heading in?  Direction meaning new equipment coming out, the way competitions are run, scenario paintball getting bigger, etc.
I love the current direction that paintball is heading; I think it’s heading in the right direction and it’s a very good one.  I think more and more people are starting to experience the fun of paintball.  More and more people are joining teams and wanting to compete in both speedball and tactical tournaments; competition is definitely getting better and bigger.  The new equipment coming out has also improved a great deal.  Paintball guns keep getting more advanced - making them more efficient so they shoot and operate a lot better.  For what they used to have, compared to the technology they have now….. paintball markers have actually gotten cheaper!  In other words it used to cost a lot more for some of the ‘extras’ that now come standard on a good paintball gun.  There’s no doubt about it though, you get what you pay for.  If you spend less than $150 on a paintball gun, don’t expect it to carry you very far.  But then on the other hand, if you spend $750 on a sweet tactical paintball gun, that sucker better run well and there’d better be some kind of warranty!  With the development of more advanced paintball equipment, scenario paintball is also getting bigger, better and more fun.  I also think the way some of the fields are set up nowadays has also really improved and added to the fun of the game.

All paintball guns may look the same but it is important to remember that choosing the right paintball marker is not an easy task.  Here are some tips that you may need to consider:
1. The very first thing that needs to be considered when buying a paintball gun is the price. It is important that the buyer determine his budget for the gun. There are many paintball markers in the market and prices may range from $100 to $900. The cost of the gun will depend on the brand and features that come with it.
2. It is recommended a person test a specific type of gun before buying one.  You may want to try those that you’ve borrowed or rented which will give you the chance to choose which one that works best for him. The paintball gun should provide ease of use and maintenance, comfort for the user and upgradeability.
3. Before buying a paintball gun, it is important that he decide on the size of the gun, the paintball loader and the tank that he desires. Remember that the bigger the tanks and the paintball loaders the heavier the gun becomes.  A good hopper should be the right size for the gun and should contain the amount of paintballs needed to fire at the opponents.
4. The buyer should shop around first before deciding on a particular paintball gun (for example, there’s such a thing as tactical paintball guns). This will give him the chance to evaluate and compare prices.  Some shops offer lower prices than other shops, so do some research and purchase the one that fits your needs and pocketbook.
5. Seek advice from friends who play paintball, instructors, and coaches of paintball games who will be able to provide some tips on what paintball guns they have used and have found effective. Paintball stores can also recommend some good paintball guns and/or those that they most often sell to their customers.
After choosing the right paintball gun, you must familiarize yourself with the machine. Practicing with the paintball gun will help you move with the gun as well as apply some strategies for using the gun.

promo-marksman-desert.jpgIntroducing the Elite Marksman Custom Paintball marker from MilSig.  The MILSIG ELITE MARKSMAN Custom is based on MilSig’s flagship ELITE K-Series marker and comes ready for action.  This is a .68 caliber, magazine-fed, lightweight, high tech marker; it’s not a gun for the beginner, this is for the hand with experience in the paintball game.  The ELITE MARKSMAN Custom comes equipped with the super accurate MARKSMAN barrel system right out of the box; this barrel is a 3-piece that gives you the option of making it shorter and can be converted to a shorter length by removing the rear section of the barrel.  Another nice feature of this marker is the 552 Holosight that comes with this package; this is an excellent sight for fast target acquisition while still keeping both eyes open.  Also check out some of the other awesome new Custom .68 caliber paintball markers like the Elite HP Custom, PDW SD Custom CQB and the Sniper Custom at www.choicepaintballguns.com.  All markers by MILSIG Custom Gunworks are hand built by certified MILSIG technicians and come with a One Year Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

bt_m4_carbine_kit_lf.jpgIf you’re thinking of buying a new paintball gun but don’t want to fork out the dough yet, consider purchasing an upgrade kit instead.  A ‘kit’ is a package of items you can buy that will fit onto your current paintball marker to make it look or act different.  For example, you can buy an AK47 Kit for your Tippmann 98 that will include everything you need to add to your current gun to make it look just like an AK47 - without having to buy a whole new gun!  They make kits for almost all paintball guns, but they’re mostly for tactical/scenario paintball.  Some kits will just add a certain look to your gun, while others will improve the performance as well.  www.choicepaintballguns.com sells a Tippmann A5 M4 Carbine Complete Upgrade Kit that will not only turn your A5 into an awesome realistic looking M4, but will also upgrade the internals of your gun (it’s also for a great price!).  Many times adding a kit to your paintball gun will bring new life to an old, beat up friend who you may have grown tired of.  There are many kits to choose from too; you can turn your paintball marker into a sniper, AK47, M4 Carbine, CQB or combinations of any of these.  With all the new gun parts and accessories there are nowadays, you can also put together your own kit…. pick out a different handguard, buttstock, add a few rails and a scope, maybe a laser or a flashlight; you can even add a magazine expansion chamber or carry handle.  If you get tired of the same old paintball gun, consider adding a kit to dress it up as something different or improve it’s performance before spending all the money on a brand new gun!

us_army_alpha_black_frostbite_marker.jpgI just got my Alpha Black, it’s a fairly new line from Tippmann, but they are now starting to come out with new stuff by the dozens.  Anyway it has to be the single most reliable gun I’ve ever used.  I was playing at my local field, Frosty’s Revenge, a big winter game, and I dropped it right on the ice.  I’m 6′ tall so it was a pretty long fall, I was very worried about it but when I checked it out, absolutely nothing changed, nothing broke, it was just like new!  Besides the durability and reliability, it performs amazingly with the standard 11″ barrel it comes with, I was hitting targets 40-50 yards away, with great accuracy.  Toss an Apex barrel on that baby and you have yourself a definant force to be reckoned with on any paintball field.  It’s incredibly well priced through www.choicepaintballguns.com, not to mention all the extras you can get.  I’d highly recommend getting an Apex barrel, and if you’re a woodsball/tactical player, the frostbite barrel kit….  if I’m getting the accuracy that I am with this 11′ barrel, I couldn’t imagine what I’d be dishing out with this kit.  Not to mention with a seriously fierce look; in big games, between it and a little bit of demoralizing yelling you’ll be right on your enemy.  The Alpha Black is DEFINITELY a must-have for ALL beginners, or certainly experianced players.  Now that Tippmann has released more upgrades, don’t forget to include a compatible Apex barrel; if you have the money to spend on upgrades, this is definitely a gun that you need.  Korian D., Barrie ON

us_army_alpha_black_frostbite_marker.jpgThe answer to this question depends on several factors… what you want your sniper to look like, what you want it to do and how much you’re willing to spend.  Of course the sniper paintball markers that cost the most generally have the most ’stuff’ stuck to them and will obviously be able to do more.  For example the T68 Gen6 Extreme Sniper comes with a Phantom Thunger grenade launcher but this one goes for around $900 - it’s a top-end gun with many available options.  Since sniper paintball guns are basically different brand name paintball guns with sniper attachments, your decision should be based on which type of gun do you like to shoot the best….. Tippmann 98, Spyder, BT, Tippmann X7, Tippmann A5 and of course the T68.  Beyond this, it’s a decision about how long you want your sniper barrel, what kind of barrel, what kind of buttstock you want, how powerful of a scope or any other things you can mount on it to make it more rad.   I personally like the way the Tippmann X7 sniper paintball guns look and shoot, but it’s all up to you.  You can’t ignore the realism of the T68 having the capability of using a magazine and/or hopper.  The Alpha Black sniper is also a great looking marker.  After you’ve decided on what type/brand of gun you want to make your sniper, here are a few things you must have to make sure your sniper paintball marker is the baddest-ass paintball war machine on the planet….
You definitely want your sniper paintball gun to have a flexi-air buttstock; this will re-route your gun’s air so you can put your CO2/hpa inside the buttstock.  There is also a little valve you can buy (called a 90 degree One Way Valve Adaptor) that will also allow you to switch right to a larger tank as soon as your gun’s tank is empty.  I would also outfit my sniper with a 45 degree Swivel Bipod; this way you can turn your paintball gun and not have to pick up your bipod to point at a different target.  As a sniper, I like the one shot, one kill idea, but I would still equip your sniper paintball marker with an electronic trigger just in case your target starts to get to close or there’s many targets close together.  A good scope to use is any of the Red Dot Sights/Scopes or a 3-9X40 Rubber Armor scope will do the trick.  I would recommend the new Rubber Armored Mark III Tactical with Laser; this way you will have a great scope + a laser already mounted to it, it also has a quick release mount.  Finally, just make sure you use a tactical rifled barrel; these are the latest in tactical paintball gun barrels…. a good one is the Flute Sniper Barrel.  You can find all of these sniper accessories on our site as well as many sniper paintball markers that already comes with everything we’ve mentioned.

images_products_markers_alpha-black_t106007_large.jpgThe Alpha Black has already broken record sales but get ready…. the new Alpha Black Camo Edition is going to be an even bigger hit!  It’s already proving to be extremely popular so if you want one and don’t want to wait, the time to buy is now!  RAP4 must’ve known these guns were going to be ultra-popular because they’ve come up with a whole bunch of different handguards, barrels, stocks, upgrade kits and just overall bad ass combinations of cool gadgets to add to this paintball marker.  Check out the Alpha Black Frostbite Sniper and the Alpha Black Tactical sniper paintball gun; these would make fine additions to any sniper’s quiver of sleek, sneaky paintball death machines.  The Alpha Black M16 marker is also a great looking piece of equipment.  Wait until you see all the recent upgrades for this gun too…. you can’t have a machine gun without an electronic trigger (of course they sell one at www.choicepaintballguns.com…. http://www.choicepaintballguns.com/product/J001180).  There is also a new 45 degree swivel bipod that will attach to the Alpha Black that’s very innovative and definitely going to be part of my personal collection.  If you’re looking for cool mounts to add scopes or lasers to, this gun has got it.  The best thing about all the Alpha Black’s new accessories are all the different handguards/barrel kits; the M4 barrel kit and the RIS barrel kit are a couple to definitely check out.

t68_m240_machine_gun_c.jpgThe M240 paintball gun is a lightweight, gas-operated, 200 round magazine-tube-fed, individually portable paintball-machine-gun capable of delivering a large volume of effective fire.  The M240 provides accurate fire on par with the accuracy of a regular paintball marker, yet gives the heavy volume of fire common to a heavy mounted machine gun.  The M240 paintball gun fires standard .68 caliber paintballs using a standard 200 round loader, with realistic selective firing modes: semi, 3 round burst and full auto at 500+ rounds per minute.  The unit features all metal construction and weighs 13lbs.  The M240 operates with both CO2 and compressed air, using a remote line.  If you’re going to spend the money on this bad-boy, perhaps you should think about getting a good electronic loader to help speed things up a bit, like the Pinokio hopper that can also hold up to 400 rounds.  This M240 is the full size version.  It features a solid stock and a long barrel.  It is designed to suppress fire, cover tactical maneuvers, and can be mounted on vehicles.  The M240 series paintball gun provides a valuable, realistic training tool for military combat training and gives operators a true-to-life feel… as if they are training with their duty gear.  This gun is great for military simulation as well as full scale scenario paintball games.  You can find it on www.choicepaintballguns.com Big Guns & Heavy Artillery section.

sniperntw20_1.jpgIf you want to be a successful paintball sniper, what gear should you use?  Gear is a very important part of being a successful sniper.  First, you will need camouflage to make it harder to be seen (And don’t where white sox with that, because if you do you’re some kind of a dumb ass).  If you want to go all out, get a sweet camouflage Ghillie Suit to become totally invisible.  You also need a good paintball mask or goggle system.  You will spend a lot of time on the ground, and it’s very possible you will get hit in the facemask.  You also want to keep it clean to make it easier to spot opposing players.  The Hawkeye paintball mask and tactical helmet is a great combination for tactical paintball and a good addition to your sniper gear collection.

Another important item needed is a paintball gun.  A lot of snipers use the new T68 Gen6 tactical paintball marker because it’s so interchangeable with different barrels and handguards.  It also has a built in Flexi-air system so you can attach your remote line in an advantageous place that’s better when you’re laying down in sniper position.   Use which paintball marker brand that works best with your abilities.  It is important to keep the gun clean and smooth.  You also should try to get a dark gun instead of any stainless steal.  It kind of ruins your cover.  A good sight or paintball scope is also very important.  You have to make the first or second shot count so a sight is needed.  A new product from NcStar is the Red Dot Scope with laser attached and this is an excellent addition to any sniper’s box of toys.  Another good paintball sniper scope is the good old reliable rubber armor 3-9X40.  Also check out the new 45 degree swivel bipods just released from RAP4 - these allow you to swivel your paintball sniper rifle 45 degrees in either direction so you don’t have to pick up your bipod to switch direction and shoot at someone else.
